The Marketing unit in University Relations is responsible for building, enhancing, and protecting the University's image and reputation through marketing communications initiatives that inspire and inform internal and external audiences.
We lead the institution's branding efforts and collaborate with campuses, colleges, units, faculty, administration, students, and alumni in activities designed to support the goals and objectives of individual units and the overall University.
Marketing is comprised of professionals in electronic communications, social media, design, writing, editing, video, and photography.
We show the world how the U of M is Driven to Discover. We interpret the University's brand in creative and effective ways and provide templates and tools that convey the character and identity of individual units while maintaining the strong connection to the larger U of M brand.
In addition, we take the pulse of our internal and external audiences with market research to make sure our messages are breaking through and resonating.
Our Brand—Provides standards, guidelines, graphics, and templates for print and electronic media when using the University of Minnesota wordmark, logos, colors, and brand, which are governed by the University's Brand Policy: Trademarks, Logos, Colors, and Seal.
