Include Links in Media Outreach

Meltwater recently posted on its blog a tip about embedding links in emailed outreach to journalists, particularly when featuring experts.

When contacting journalists, the University Relations Public Relations team recommends linking to faculty pages, along with links to their school, college, department, or unit pages. Doing so offers interested journalists the opportunity to learn more about the faculty member’s background, expertise, and research interests.

University Public Relations includes both links in Expert Alerts and Research Briefs as another means to introduce our faculty and their work to media.
