DIY Accessibility Lunch ‘n’ Learn: Video Captioning and Audio Description
Join the Accessibility Ambassadors on Thursday, August 15 for a presentation by Alex Anderson from OIT Video and Conferencing Services.
Video captioning is an accessibility technology often mentioned but rarely discussed in detail. Alex will go over captioning for courses and other video content, as well as the captioning services and tools available at the University. In addition, there will be discussion about audio description, which can be thought of as the audio-only version of video content.
This presentation will be especially useful for faculty as they prepare for the fall semester. Please join us and share the event with anyone you think would benefit from it.
As we expect a larger turnout for this session but will be in a smaller room than previous sessions, we suggest attending remotely if you can.
Please note: Neither devices nor food will be provided as part of this event; please BYO.
