Google Doc Templates Updated


Earlier this month, all the University of Minnesota Google Doc templates for each campus were updated for branding and accessibility. Documents created with the old templates will not change. The changes are:

  • The Title heading was switched to H1
  • The default font was switched to Open Sans
  • Headings down to H6 have been formatted
  • An error in paragraph indents has been adjusted
  • All banners now have ® instead of ℠
  • The systemwide (just Driven to Discover®) versions are now available to all campuses

When you create a Google Doc from a template, you will have six options:

  • UMN gold bar template
  • UMN maroon bar template
  • UMN project template
  • UMN [Campus] gold bar template
  • UMN [Campus] maroon bar template
  • UMN [Campus] project template
