Accessibility Ambassadors: Pope Tech: Measure Website Accessibility

This presentation will provide an overview of the Pope Tech web accessibility tool and demonstrate key functionality. You will learn how to set up a website in Pope Tech, run a scan, locate errors, and track progress over time.

Pope Tech is a web accessibility checking tool available for use with UMN websites. Website editors can use Pope Tech to scan a website for accessibility issues and view a report of specific accessibility errors, along with their exact location. You can use this information to resolve accessibility errors on your website, helping your content reach its intended audience.

The presenters:

Dimitri Tadege, dtadege@umn.edu, senior developer and technical team lead in University Relations. Dimitri has worked at the University for seven years and has been working on the Folwell Theme since its inception.

Kieran Kohlhase, kjk@umn.edu, product owner for the OIT Drupal and Pope Tech platforms. Kieran has worked at the University for six years as a member of the OIT Drupal support team.
